Effect of Electric Field, Cadmium and Alcohol on metallothionein Formation in Rats

Abstract
Alcohol and Cadmium have been known to have toxic efficts upon human liver when overdosed. Human liver emits such dissolving enzymes as Alcohol Dehydrogenase (ADH) and Metallothionein (MT), in order to respond to the both toxic materials. In this
study
40 Sprags Dawry rats were used. 20 rat were given reagent only. 20 rats were given reagfents and exposed to electric field for 30 minutes daily. After intakes were all finshed, blood samples were taken every 30 minutes for two hours and 24 hours
after
the intakes, liver and kidney were taken from all 40 rats. In this study, we observed the intervention effect of electric field on the formation of metallothionein and the dissolution of alcohol.
@ES The observed results are as follows.
@EN (1) The intervention of electric field stimulation delayed dissolution of alcohol in alcohol exposure group but stimulated alcohol dissolution in alcohol and cadmium exposure group.
(2) The intervention of electric field stimulation decreased the cadmium concentration of rat liver in alcohol and cadmium exposure group.
(3) concentrations of Metallothion (MT) in liver and kidney also showed effects of the electric field stimulation.
